Is AI stem separation lossless?

AI stem separation does not recreate the original studio multitrack recordings. Tunii estimates individual stems from a finished mix, so some bleed or artifacts may remain. WAV and FLAC output formats preserve the separated result without further lossy compression.

Why can I hear another instrument in one of my stems?

Some instruments share similar frequencies, effects, reverb, or stereo space. When sounds overlap heavily in the original mix, the AI may place a small amount of one sound into another stem.
